I know this question has already been posted but i wanted to know the overall performance for both
like Which improves the performance and overall gaming performance
will DirectX 12 improve FPS ?

Solution
If the game is SPECIFICALLY designed to take advantage of DX12 (and again, that is very few), then DX12 is better.

If your game was designed using DX11, there will be NO IMPACT when running it in DX12, period.

No no no...games are all specifically developed for a version of DirectX. If the game you have was developed for DX11 (and there are only a small handful of titles that actually use DX12), you will get NO benefit from DX12.

Otherwise, DX12 is a Windows10 only thing...so you don't just "install" dx12 anywhere, it's really bundled with the operating system.

Apart from everything you said being wrong you have a good point. "Adds more graphics" doesn't even make sense.

Ugh, because BF1 was SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to have a DX12 "mode"...but without going into too much detail, most developers have barely even scratched the surface of what can be done in DX12, as it puts much of what used to be done at the graphics driver level in the hands of the game developers, making it much more complex to fully utilize.

So again, unless your specific game is a specific DX12 title, you will NOT see ANY difference when running DX12 or DX11.
