Question DirectX 12 problem

Hi guys don't know if this is in the right section,

I recently making the move from PS4 to pc and having a total nightmare,
First the pc would not load since changing the GPU sorted now but I have a DirectX 12 problem,

I have windows 10 pro installed and when I try and open call of duty Modern warfare 2019 it saying can't open because my operating system doesn't support directX12,

When I search for what directX I got it says 12 is installed..

Don't know what else to try

Sorry to ask but can I check that your Windows and copy of the game are not pirated? No point in trying to fix something that cannot be fixed.

What is your full system specs?

Did you update your drivers to the latest?

If you go to File Explorer->Program files->Call of Duty and right click it
Then go to properties and select compatibility
Make sure you're not running it in compatibility mode for windows 7/8.

If you have a legit Windows 10 and legit copy of the game and all your drivers and windows updates done the game should run fine.

Yeah windows came with the pc when I brought it from overclockers, (UK) and call of duty was brought from blizzard,

My windows does have a few updates ready to be installed,
Just waiting for me to restart the pc could this be a problem

Your full system specs is required and you should really start by updating your GPU drivers.

I can pinpoint the drivers to you after you give me your specs.

PSU - 600w
GPU - Radeon 590 (New Yesterday)
Windows 10 pro
Memory - ballistix sport 2x4GB

As far as I know the GPU drivers are all updated as I downloaded the software and did an auto driver check and it now says no update needed

Anything else I'm missing

What about your GPU drivers version? This could be as easy as updating them. This error is pretty much related to not having Windows 10 or having obsolete GPU drivers.

What brand "600w PSU"?

Did you remove old GPU drivers before installing new card?

Hi nope I didn't know I had to uninstall the drivers till after I installed the new ones..

I've uninstalled them now and fully updated windows 10, but still when I open call of duty it saying can't open because direct12x "DirectX is not compatible with this version of Windows"

When I cancel the message call of duty will load up but very laggy

choose run...
type winver and press enter
what version are you on? Current is 1909

older versions of win 10 had interesting problems recognising radeon GPU as DX 12 cards. That should be fixed now, so I just curious what version you have installed.
