I updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 yesterday. Now when I play BF4, I get this error.

I have 2 GTX 970's running in SLI. I tried reinstalling DirectX, but I don't know what to do from here. Any suggestions? Thanks

I've never used SLI myself so I can't help you in that respect, it's probably something you'll have to wait for Nvidia to release a patch for.

Damn man I got 2 gtx 970's in sli too and having the same problem on windows 10 pro 64 bit.
its driving me nuts.
i will try disabling sli and play with 1 gfx card until new driver comes out

That's all you can do at this point, wait until drivers play catch up with Windows 10.

Thank you for your temporary solution i really appreciate that 😀

Same here - upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise x64 edition and same thing. Disabling SLI stops the error.
I'm running duals GTX 970s from EVGA.

Same here, same exact problem, can't even play 2 games in a row without crashing. And no, disabling SLI and cutting FPS in half is not a solution, even temporary. Guess I'll have to wait for new drivers (tried older ones, same thing).

Still no resolution. I've jumped through Nvidia's hoops in regards to tests to run and other things to perform, same for EA's. Very frustrating.

I've reinstalled/repaired .NET / DirectX, DDU + Nvidia drivers reinstall, bumped down in-game graphic settings, let Geforce Experience optimize the settings, performed a repair on BF4 but it also happens with Battlefield Hardline, I've ran a graphics card test per Nvidia. I'm sure there are some other things I'm forgetting to list.

So guys, my case got escalated to tier 2 with Nvidia. I got this response today:

Hi Kyle,

The case was escalated to me. We have received reports of this issue and we've been able to replicate the failure in our lab. Our development team is working on this issue and we hope to provide a fix in future driver update soon. I will notify you as soon as a driver with the fix is available so you can verify.

Best regards,
Ray

Guys, they issued a driver this morning

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3738

They said to do a custom/clean install.

"Hi Kyle,

We just released a new hotfix driver that should help with the BF4 DX error in SLI mode. If you haven't already updated then please give this new driver a try and see if that helps. You can download the new driver here: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3738. When installing the new driver please select the "Custom (Advanced)" install option and then put a checkmark in the "Perform clean install" option. This will help insure a clean install.

Best regards,
Ray"

I attempted the clean install with the hotfix driver, and after about 10 minutes in BF4 received the same
error as before. Oh well.

I was getting the same "OUTOFMEMORY" error with Driver version (355.60).
After doing the clean hotfix install (355.80) I needed to re-enable SLI in the control panel and I did a reboot to be safe.
Now when I launch BF4 it completely crashes the PC and reboots after 5 minutes of game-play.

My GPU is two Asus OC 780 in SLI.
