So after about an hour my new PC goes into hibernate mode. I assume its the PC and not the software as I turned off the hibernate option in the power settings but it still powers down to the point the fans stop moving and the power light blinks and only pushing the power button turns it back on.

or at the least is there some way to allow the mouse click or keyboard button push to power it back on?

if you open Command Prompt as administrator and type in "powercfg.exe /hibernate off" it will turn off all hibernation and free up about 8 GB of storage, if I remember right. To turn it back on do the same but instead of off, you would type "on".

Usually if the power LED is flashing your in standby/sleep mode. Check Windows power & sleep settings. Set to 'never' if not wanting sleep mode otherwise check devive manager and keyboard / mouse to see if allow wake from sleep option is enabled.

tried that and yeah set both mouse and keyboard to wake it but doesn't work. can't find any model number on the box but here are the specs from bestbuy

If USB devices then maybe there's a BIOS option to allow wake on USB that's not enabled?
maybe but I really don't like messing with the BIOS unless absolutely needed.
My worry about wanting to wake it with the keyboard or mouse really is I just don't want to wear the power button out and have to way to turn it on in the future
