I am currently running with an AMD FX-8350 on an ASUS M5A99FX Pro 2.0 and everything seems to be functioning smoothly thus far. However the program I built this rig to run doesn't have any multi-core functionality so I was wondering if there's an AMD equivalent to hyperthreading that can be disabled in the Bios? Also was wondering if there's any other options in the BIOS that can help performance on a program that doesn't utilize multiple cores.

Solution
HyperThreading is an Intel's exclusive technology, so AMD's CPUs don't have that.

I think you can't disable cores from BIOS, anyway I also doubt you could get extra performance if you could. If you build that computer about running a program that doesn't benefit from extra cores, I think that AMD FX-8350 was the worst option you could choose, a cheaper Athlon/Phenom would do the job for less money and less power compsumption.

I think he looks for that lower temp to increase the other core freq.
