disable onboard graphics on MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine)

how do i disable the onboard graphics? i think it is interfering with the card i installed - a MSI N440GT-MD1GD3/LP card.

mobo gave 6 long beeps and the tower light turned yellow (P7-1534 PC) but eventually continued booting.

windows display settings show two monitors one correctly identified as HP S2031 wide screen, this is the one connected to MSI graphics card.
other detected monitor was an unknown monitor even though there is no other monitor connected - i assume this is from the onboard graphics card.

windows defaulted to extending the desktop to this unknown monitor. i was able to access UEFI bios on bootup but there's no option to disable the onboard graphics.

On-board graphics adapter is disabled automatically when a PCI or PCI-Express graphics adapter is detected, so there is no way the on-board one should be interfering with your new one. The on-board graphics adapter should not even be listed in Device Manager after installing the new one.

you are right phil22, the onboard gpu was disabled. turns out it was the onboard gpu utility software that automatically extended the desktop to the unknown monitor. thanks for replying!

basically, because my pc was on windows 8, bios legacy support was disabled by default. however, enabling it required disabling some boot security feature in the bios that was specific to windows 8 and other OS that support it. my graphics card isn't new but is still a little better than the onboard gpu and i am the only using my pc so i guess the tradeoff is acceptable.

hey this is not an answer but on the topic of MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) i just wanted to know if someone would list out all the processors compatible with this mother board? its an fm2 slot i believe so will any fm2 processor be fine?
