During searching I came across several posts involving various programs with this same problem, but there doesn't seem to be any solution to this. When starting some program in a virtual PC running XP set up with Virtualbox, an error poped up:

A required security module could not be activated.
This program cannot be executed (3000).

It then refers to a web link at Securom's site for more information:

http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=module&c=3000

I searched the virtual XP system and could not find any file named SoftIce, searched registry and the only softice match is Search.

Any suggestion on disabling SoftIce?

I have a host physical DVD drive accessible by the guest XP system, so when the program launches in the guest system, it goes to that DVD drive to check the original disc in the drive; the error message pops after that. The original disc has been verified to be in working order, so the protection code is preventing the program from running in a virtual PC environment regardless?
