I need to disable the taskbar entirely for a specific user on a machine.

I've discovered several ways to disable it ENTIRELY; but I need it for ONE user only and we cannot use third party software.

I have all of that done, but the taskbar still shows at the bottom of the screen. Autohide won't do, because the specified user shouldn't have access to the taskbar or start menu at all

What is it that you're trying to accomplish?

It almost sounds like you want this user to be in kiosk mode, but I can't be sure.

Are they supposed to be able to do anything one would normally do, but not have the taskbar show? If so, why? (and the latter question is just for my curiosity - it's not questioning your need).

What we need is one piece of software to run. Only one.

Everything else can be disabled, even Explorer as it's not needed for our software.

The user account will ONLY be able to use this one piece of software, the admin account is wide open.

Similar to Kiosk mode, but Kiosk mode is easy to get around, so we're locking it down the old school way.
