Disabling virtual memory

Would that improve the performance?
In XP I've never been over 700 something MB/s of ram used and having two gigs would it not be faster to just put everything in ram as long as there is enough?

I'd be wary of disabling something that's a "backup/fallback" system. If your memory isn't enough sometime, isn't it nice to know that you won't jam up/lose data because the catch basin is still there? I'd have to say "leave it be".
