[SOLVED] disadvantages of running fans higher than normal?

I have a 5700 XT which is known to run hot, to be on the safe side I've bumped up the standard fan curve, by doing this, there is now no longer any passive cooling and the fans just spin faster in general. Apart from noise is there any disadvantages to doing this?

They might burn out if seven years instead of eight from the extra wear. You might also pay an extra $2 in electricity over that time.
