Disc at 100%

Lately I've noticed my disc is always between 90% to 100%, I've read up about the issues that tend to cause this and have tried the majority of solutions. None of which have worked for me.
My Laptops specs are below...

Alienware M17x R3
Windows 8.1 Enterprise
I7-2670QM @ 2.20
12 GB Ram



My main question here is, would a fresh install of windows fix the problem? I dont really have anything on my laptop so a fresh install really wouldn't cause any trouble.
 
Hi there Briding,

Have you disabled some Windows Services like: Superfetch, BITS and Windows Search? If not, you can do so.(Make sure to press Apply after Disable as some users miss it :D)
In case the issue persists, it may be a good idea to test the drive with a brand specific(or third party one) testing tool. The results should provide a S.M.A.R.T. report which will show the drive's health status.
In case there is something wrong with the drive, you need to back up the most important data stored on it.
