disc drive unable to read

disc drive is recognized (drive f. but it does not
show the contents in it. i have tried with many cds.
in one of the cds a very important programme is
stored. i am unable to retrieve it. tried many
ways but failed.

Is this a Hard drive or a DVD drove. You said you have tried it with several CDs so i'm a bit confused.

i tried several CDs in F: drive which is CD-rom. i also get a message "Disc Drive (f not responding. i also get
a message when i tried to make a folder: Unable to create the folder "New Folder" File System Error (16389)
i also tried and enable autoplay.

try a different drive(different machine).

unfortunately my system does not have second cd-rom drive. i shall try cds on other
machine (laptop) and revert back to you.
