Disconenct Problem. DNS?

Okay ive been having this problem for a while now, im using my internet and im watching an hd video or im downloading something. Randomly my router disconnects but not entirely. i troubleshoot the problem and it says theres nothing wrong with it, this is super annoying. So i just went out and bought a new router thinking it would fix it cause my other one was 5 or 6 years old. Sadly no, its STILL HAPPENING! Please any help would mean a lot, i have windows 8 and a netgear n300, also i have TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 adapter

the same thing happens to my brothers laptop too which has an internal adapter

did you try directly from the provider not using the router and made a dsl test with one computer then with both at the same time with router .

no but i had a linksys router and it did the same thing
