I have 2 internal HDs:
1 1 TB SSD
and
1 500 GB SATA HD.

I have gotten everything I want off of the old 500 GB drive and reformatted it and now I want to disconnect it so that the computer will run faster, but how do I tell which is which? Do I need to open up the case and physically disconnect it or is there a simpler way to do so using Windows 10. I don't want the computer to be spinning the drive from time to time and slowing down my computer.

Yes...physically open the case.
See which is which.

But...the computer will not "run faster", unless the HDD is failing.
