Discussion: Have an Nvidia GPU and want to play a game with a friend? Now you can.

Nvidia's latest beta version of Geforce Experience now has a GameStream Co-op feature that will allow you to stream the game to a friend through a Chrome browser, and even pass control over to them. This will make previously non-online but multiplayer games now playable with non-local friends.

Nvidia does says the requirements are that both gamers should use an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 or higher desktop graphics card. They may also use a Non-Optimus GeForce GTX 660M laptop card. Using the GameStream Co-op also requires a Core i3-2100 or higher CPU and at least 4 GB of RAM.

So, got any games you'd want to play with your friends?

Sounds cool, but sadly useful only once in a blue moon. I remember carrying GTA save files to complete a specific mission at his place . The Streaming to tablet feature is something worth noticing though.

Well, cool feature, but quite meh...
I get the feeling it's going to be another Sony-like share function; Microsoft already did their magic with W10, and AMD will likely follow suit and develop their own solution sooner or later, but it's likely going to have the same limitations.

Some of us poor europeans are lucky enough if we get anything along the lines of a stable, copper-pair-wire, 6/1 Mbps d/u speed. The best we can get where I live is FTTS, with up to 100/10 Mbps d/u, and it's only available in specific countries while costing quite a bit (about 50~60€ per month).
Stream-sharing won't work well for anyone else :/

Edit: worse aspect came to mind...
What if I had an Nvidia card but a friend couldn't afford anything but AMD?
For me, it's going to be along the lines of "cross-manufacturer compatibility or it doesn't exist"

I really need this thing, sometimes i am stuck on a level and need help. The friend does not need the same game right?

I really want to friend a few people online who play the same game i do and in case i get stuck or whatever have them take
over for a moment and finish the part for me.

Correct, they're merely watching you play the game, and you have to option to give them control and also do co-op if the game allows.
