Disk Read Error!

Oh dear! I also have a disk read error on my Samsung laptop Model R519 bought Nov 2010. Many months now I have been trying to fix the problem & have tried the CHKDSK thing on You Tube but have not done a clean format & re-install yet. I am tempted to go out and purchase a new laptop but at same time I am challenged to learn how to fix this problem. I am not a technician but just an every day woman. Help! It will be a Big thank you! Please!

Hard Disk mechanical error/bad sector cannot be fixed... u can only contain it and hope it not get worse... (it will, but some can take months before fail and some quickly fail)
If the bad sector growing then u can only change the hdd...

however i would try check the connection (cables) see if it became loose/damaged/not proper seated..
u will need to open the hdd bay in the notebook to check (some may void warranty some brands are not)
