I did do some scans & had trojans & viruses but that is taken care of now & removed, I recently rebuilt my entire system but my hard drive so I am wondering because my motherboards Sata connectors is 6gb/s & my Hard drive is 3gb/s, could this be the problem? Does anyone know a fix to this problem?

My PC Specs if needed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9jTesHddgU

I'm sorry I can't see your links from where I'm at right now, but the fact you have a SATA2 hard drive connected to a SATA3 port shouldn't be causing this issue. You may still have a virus or malware, or your hard drive may be very full. Run your disk clean up and empty your trash bin. It's not really gone until you do. Then run your malware and virus scans again. You didn't say you scanned for malware so if you haven't your problem could be there.

For malware detection and removal I use 2 programs Malwarebytes and Spybot Search & Destroy. Update them and run them weekly at least.

Ok you rebuilt your system but kept the hard drive did you replace the motherboard? And if so did you try to use the same install of Windows with a different motherboard? The reason I ask is because Windows does not like motherboard transplant and alot of bad things can happen when doing that. If you did i would suggest a complete re-install of Windows and that would most likely take care of the problems. With different motherboards come completely different sets of drivers registry entry's and and such that the current install of Windows may not work correctly with.

If you did not replace the motherboard then ignore it's just the way it sounded by your description and I have seen these problems when motherboard transplants have been tried.

As far as the SATA ports no that would not cause the problems. There was at one time a problem with a very small amount of SATA II drives having problems in SATA I ports but that has not been a problem for a long time now.

I got a new fresh install of windows on it, the problem I think was coming from my ram (posted a new thread about it) but after this problem my pc just totally crashed & would not boot up & I had to reinstall windows again but by the time I did that my new hard drive came & I have not had any problems with the disc being 100%, im about 80% sure it was not the hard drive at fault, I had alot of pop ups & random ads on my pc so im pretty sure I had malware still & my ram was at fault.

Thanks I didn't know I could do that :) I recovered the files awhile ago using System Rescue & it took me forever to figure it out but I finally did it & Was able to format it & smack it into a new pc I made out of my old parts lol, Its actually a really powerful tool.
