I'm on windows 10 with an ssd (crucial CT480BX500SSD1). My problem is that my disk usage will jump to 100% and "freeze" the system. I can still interact somewhat with the system like changing the current window but most things won't work, for example loading a new chrome page or searching something in start or opening a new program. Even opening the task manager with CTRL-SHIFT-ESC will take a while and I will see the disk usage stuck at 100. Practically the system is unresponsive
I have already tried changing the SATA port and the SATA cable of the ssd but the problem still persists.
At this point I believe it's the SSD being faulty or just being cheap trash but I didn't read any bad reviews with similar problems.
I have 16 GB of ram and this happens even when ram usage is less than 40%. It's definitely not a problem of running out of ram and having to use the disk.
I'm also using hard disk sentinel which reports 100% performance and 74% health (because it's 2 years old at this point) "The status of the solid state disk is PERFECT. Problematic or weak sectors were not found. "
