Disk usage at 50% HELP

Lately Ive been having some problems with my computer. It crashes when I'm in the middle of a game which it never used to.
system specs are
i5 6600k
gtx 970
16gb ram
When I open my task manager the disk usage is at 49% or 50% when nothing intensive is really running. IDk why this is happening please help.

You need to find process that causes disk usage and files that are being accessed.

Open Resource Monitor,
switch to Disk tab,
locate Disk Activity section (lower part of the window),
order Disk activity section by Total descending,
adjust file column, so that file names are fully visible
and post screenshot.
