When looking at my task manager, the disk usage never gets above 50%?

SCREENSHOT

Everything functions as it should, on the PC but the task manager just shows a 50% max? Right now, it is fluctuating between 2% & 9%… But when doing video editing, etc., the disk percentage never goes above 50%.

Hey there again, @901TAP!

Did you notice the HDD usage when you were performing the diagnostic tests? I'd also advise you run the HDD's brand-specific tool (both the Short & the Long tests) and make sure you track the Task Manager. The procedure should make the HDD usage spike but it's nothing to worry about.
Either way, I'd strongly recommend you backup your files somewhere off-site before you proceed with the tests. Having a copy (duplicate) of your most precious files somewhere else as well is the surest way to avoid any potential data loss. According the SMART attributes in this utility, there's nothing wrong with your 2 TB HDD, so it should give you some peace of mind. Having backups is always a good idea, though. Better safe...
Welcome to the Tom's Hardware community, @901TAP!

I'd definitely follow @Illyria's advice and check your HDD's performance running a benchmark utility. It might also be a good idea to run your HDD manufacturer's brand-specific diagnostic tool and check up on the health and SMART status of the drive. However, getting 100% HDD usage is never a good sign. If that doesn't happen at all, then there's nothing to worry about as long as you are satisfied with the drive's performance, especially if you are using demanding video editing software apps.

Let us know what the results show. Posting some screenshots would be really helpful. :)
Good luck!
