Display card not working properly!

My notebook specifications are this -
Motherbord - Hewlett-Packard(Manufaturer) Model 228D
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U
RAM - 8GB DDR3
Graphics card - NVIDIA geforce 840M 2GB

But recenly, I can't play even games like Assassin's creed revelations. The game starts and the fps is very low, like below 8 and I can't find the reason. Please help me...

Sounds like your hardware is throttling. This means that the CPU or GPU heats up so much, that it starts to slow down the speed of them to prevent overheating. Try cleaning your air vents and other places from dust with compressed air (preferrably one of those aerosol solutions ment for cleaning PCs).

But it is a newly bought notebook and I don't feel heat in the lap at all!
