Question Display doesn't support custom resolution.

So I wanted to set the resolution of 1440x1080 in nvidia control panel but every time i tried it just said that my display doesn't support this resolution.
I'm kind of confused because i thought the custom resolution option was a thing to set resolutions not supported.
I tried every possible thing that they said in other forums but none of them worked.

what exactly is the display make and model? and what connection are you using?

Make sure you have the scaling device set to GPU, and restart your computer after changing it.

My monitor is an Asus VP239 and I'm using HDMI connection.
