"display driver has stopped responding and has recovered windows 8(R)" nvidia geforce gtx 960 & Windows 10

Hi Everyone,

Every time I play one of the games on my computer, the game crashes and/or the screen goes black and I get the error message "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered windows 8(R)"

My computer specs:

Asus zenbook
GPU: GeForce GTX960M
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
Memory: 16 GB
Current res: 3840 x 2160, 60Hz
Driver version: 365.10
OS: Windows 10 Home

I have looked on numerous boards and have tried a number of "things but nothing seems to help...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I had this same problem and a sugestion I read elsewhere worked for me:

Goto nvidia control pannel - manage 3D settings - Power management mode - change to "Prefer maximum performance"
