Hey guys, my display driver keeps timing out 3-4 times a day. It only occurs when running a game, but not any specific game. Other than that, it's hard to pinpoint an exact cause for it; I had a game open in the background while watching a movie and not actively doing anything when the drivers crashed earlier, or this morning while I was actively playing a different game. There seems to be no commonality that I can identify.

This is a brand new build with all brand new parts, only about a month old. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zW7wwc (more or less)

* GPU drivers cleaned via DDU and reinstalled
* SFC /scannow
* Mobo, SSD, GPU drivers updated
* Isolated different programs
* Tested RAM with memtest86
* Stress tested GPU/VRAM

And probably other stuff that I'm forgetting.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard at this moment of time? What OS are you working with? Where did you source the installer for the OS?
Ah, sorry. That would've been useful information to include. I'm not at my PC at the moment but I'm 99% certain I'm on F10a. I'll verify in the morning.

For the OS, I'm using Win10, downloaded onto an old USB drive from the Windows creation tool site. All of the updates have been applied.

Generally speaking, if the only thing going wrong with a PC is Display Driver crashes/restarts, then I would heavily suspect a problem in the GPU subsystem.

Obvious thing to try is a different (even older) Display Driver, just to see if there's an odd driver bug affecting your system. Failing that, the next step would be to try and test with a different GPU (if possible) to rule out a GPU HW error.

BIOS version is indeed F10a.

Unfortunately I've tried that already, albeit not on purpose. I've been checking my drivers for updates regularly and just found new ones yesterday, but still crashed.

I've changed my PCIe settings from Auto to Gen4 and I'm seeing how that works out today. Fingers crossed.

After changing my PCIe settings in my BIOS from Auto to Gen4, I lasted til about midnight without a crash. Not sure if that's just a coincidence or an actual improvement.

I do have a 2080 Super from my old machine that I could try out, but I'm not really sure what all I would need to do to swap cards.

Didn't have a chance to swap cards today, will do that tomorrow. But tried disabling iGPU as well as reducing stress on the card and no changes. I made sure to be logging in Adrenalin today, but nothing appears out of the ordinary to me. There were several periods of FPS being 0 or N/A, so I'm not too concerned about that N/A at the time of the crash...
