my config is -
i7-3770k
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H Motherboard
2 GB Zotac GTX 650 Ti Amp Edition
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
1 TB WD BLUE
CM HAF 912(with 3 exhaust fans)
CM 600 WATT
*pc is 2 months old

While running 3DS MAX and MAYA or any recently released games
I was getting the error "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" .Sometimes the error came just after i ran the software and sometimes 3 days will pass without the error.
During this error the display will go to black for 2 secs as everyone knows and then the previously mentioned error would pop up.The error was really annoying.Sometimes i can't even save my files.

I searched days to solve this problem and read several threads
*Steps taken by me -
1.Updating drivers to the latest(320.49 WHQL version) - didn't work
2. Going back to old drivers(320.18,314.22 WHQL version) - didn't work
3.Removing drivers by using DRIVER SWEEPER in safe mode - didn't work
4.Editing the registry that is the TRDELAY and stuff - after that the black screen that came for 2 secs gone and the computer would just freeze and if songs were playing then a buzzing sound would play in loop and PC has to be closed from the ups and then restart in start windows normally
5.Then i formatted my pc with windows 7(and it's not corrupt cuz all my friends are also using the same windows at high end pc's.It's pirated ,i know u guys don't agree with that but it's a fine cd).all the updates were off and there was not faulty anitviurs or virus in my pc.
6.After formatting, that day the error came just after i ran the 3DS MAX and then the second time i ran MAX it came after 2 hours and now it's been two days and has not come but i think it is teasing me and it will for sure comeback. I want to know the reason why it is happening.

*NOTE-
1.The error never came while watching HD videos, surfing or doing stuff and while doing this i could run my pc for hours.
2.Uninstalling driver and editing registry was the most common solution and i did it very carefully and in right manner but it didn't gave the solution.
2.I tested my motherboard, processor, ram on my friends system (who also has the same specs as me but has GTX 680) and it was all fine .
3.Now some will say to do Intelburn test done that and itis fine.
4.So what could be the problem (i have to test my GPU that i will do in the next 3-4 days and let u guys know) ?????
5.Can overheating be an issue ???
My room is very warm and don't have AC or windows. My temps are given below
temps through CPUID HWMonitor (while doing normal stuff like browsing, opening folders..)-
processor - 47-50 C
GPU - 38 -43C

while running 3DS MAX or MAYA or any latest games -
processor-58-71C(goes higher than this )
GPU - 53-65C (goes higher than this ) since i have stopped running games

Also my computer runs at least 17 hours a day and the heatsink is the one that came with the processor and there was no paste in it.

I have spent a lot of my parents money on this pc and if it does not work my parents would kill me literally.

I know my post is long and i have tried to be detailing in every manner so that this post may help others who are also suffering from this problem.

Any Help Would Be Highly Appreciated !

Solution
Your gpu seems ok temp wise but I dont like to see the cpu go over 75C at max burn, under 70C normally. Under that you can run it all you want.

Still need the airflow in the case to be good to cool the hdd since too much heat can kill that too.
There was paste pre-applied to the heatsink you installed. But, if u took the fan off to try cpu on another system paste needs to be purchased and applied.

What model psu is that, specifically?

Is the psu pulling in air from outside or inside the case?

Yes, you need a real copy of windows, fully patched. That can have a huge effect on stability.

Really sounds tho like the gpu is faulty or the psu is iffy and cant supply quite enough juice to the gpu. CM isn't recommended on these forums - ever - even tho a couple of their models check out OK.

Off topic - where do you live? Most places it's against building code to have a bedroom with no windows (unless you have two exits from the room).

i live in india it's just that my room does not have windows other rooms in the flat have it and i can't change my room to tell u in advance. As i said i have not got that error for about 2 days but what if it returns how to test that it will not is their any specific way to know that and also my GPU is always running at 39-42C while browsing & stuff .Is it normal ?? and does ever body has this much temp. i mean i have seen threads here where people with same config have posted temps as low as 30-32C without liquid cooler

so should i buy an air cooler or liquid cooler(if it's very necessary) and which one ??? and does an air/liquid cooler cools both the processor and GPU and thank u for the quick reply.

I like cheap air like hyper 212 evo or xigmatek gaia. Not a fan of inexpensive water. It will only cool the cpu. Keep in mind you can only do so much with high ambient temps.

Noticed u said 3 exhaust fans. You should have equal or slighty more intake. Front/side/bottom intake and top/rear exhaust.

what are the high temps for cpu and graphics ??? i mean what should be the temps when i have to start worrying ??? and if i buy the air cooler can i run my pc for 15/17 hours a day ,since I only have pc no ps3/xbox/tv and thanks J_E_D_70 you have been a great help.

One more thing what should be the GPU temperature to worry??? You said my temps were fine but i forgot to add that while running 3d softwares it goes upto 53C and then remain at that temperature .( please tell a specific temp)
