Display not showing on new pc

Just finished building a pc, connected to a working monitor with a vga cable. Pc turns on (lights and fans turn on) but no display shows on monitor. The monitor recognises that it is connected to the pc as when I unplug the cable from the motherboard a window comes up on monitor saying cable is not connected. I’ve tried everything and can’t seem to find a fix and desperately need this running

This happened to me a while back. My issue was, unfortunately, a fried motherboard.

Your issue may be different, but in my case, everything lit up and fans spun, but nothing actually showed up on the display. Changing motherboards fixed this for me.

do you have beeper?
if so, remove your ram and turn your pc on. does it make beeping sounds?

No sounds made at all apart from fans

are you sure you plugged all the necessary cables to your mobo?

whats your complete spec?
