Display on external monitor from laptop.

I just connected the moniter to a laptop. Its not showing the option to do 1920 x 1200 only 1920 x 1080. The connection is vga. My 1920 x 1200 moniter (connected via vga) to my laptop os only saying it can do 1920 x 1080. The images are stretched.

Make and model of your laptop/SKU? Make and model of your external display? Are you on the latest GPU drivers?

well with VGA its not surprising to me.. but with that said make sure you have your drivers updated.. and see if that helps as some you can push it..

Sometimes all you need to do is reboot with it connected.. question is also anyway you can use a DVI / HDMI / DP instead of the old VGA?
