Question Display on/off function isn't working properly.

Hi,
So I have an ASUS TUF GAMING FX504GE_FX80GE laptop.
The FN+F6 function is meant to turn off display, like turning off the monitor and the pc keeps running (installing/updating etc..) for long time while the screen is black.
All functions work except when i use the FN+F6 function the display turns-on back by itself after like 30s or less..
I want it to maintain turned-off for hours until i turn it back on myself please.

the FN+F6 is meant to switch the screen to an external monitor AND turn off the now unused screen as a pair of instructions. if you connect an external monitor and turn the screen off it may exhibit the same behavior as you see now.
the laptop is not detecting a monitor when you disable the screen, it may not detect the monitor if it is powered off and no monitor makes the screen wake up after a set time.

you could try to turn the back light off lower the brightness to the bottom.

Hi man thx for replying,
I think u're confusing between FN+F6 and FN+F9 the one that switches between monitors, arent u?
I think FN+F6 is only meant to turn off display.
Btw am already getting this issue (screen turns back on after 10s) even if i do these steps:
Turn off the Keyboard Light, lower the screen brightness to the minimum, and pressing FN+F6.
I don't get it

I was speaking generally about the feature. differing laptop models differing trigger keys.

Yea i know bro,
But in my case FN+F6 is for hiding screen, and FN+F9 is for changing display monitors.
Same for example in my bro's laptop, he has a FN button for each of these functions, except that his hiding one is working properly and mine only works for few seconds.
So any idea how to solve this out guys?
