Display PC output to laptop?

Hi. Was not sure where to post this but does kinda come under networking to some aspect.

I have a laptop with a VGA output.
I have a PC which has 2xDVI outputs.
I also have a VGA -> DVI output cable.

I can connect the 2 just find BUT how can I view the output of the PC to the laptop?
So instead of having another monitor/display unit, I want the laptop to be able to see the output from the PC as if the PC were connected to a display unit.

is there software to do this? im sure there is.

Take a look here. From what I read you cannot make this working with the things you presently got, you haveto find another solution to that problem.

No can do I am afraid. You show laptop on a pc monitor but you cant show a p.c on a laptop monitor. Remindes me of something I used to say years agao " you can put an umbrella up a downpipe down, but you cant pull an umbrella down a downpipe up"

Use a remote desktop connection, VNC should do it. http://www.realvnc.com/vnc/features.html

Not exactly sending the video out of the PC to the laptop screen, but you can get the PC image on the laptop that way.
