Question Display pixel acting up

I got a new monitor recently, it's pretty nice but I've also noticed something when I was looking about.. could it be a dead pixel or?

Have you tried and ruled out the same to happen with other colored backgrounds? You might want to try the same monitor on another system, after you've tried working with other cables.

You're talking about the dot in the middle of that arrow/cursor, correct?

That's correct. This does happen everywhere and it seems as if it's somewhat in half compared to the others around it...
