Display Port doesnt work XF240H - R9 290

i just bought a new main monitor "Acer XF240H" the other one is a BenQ connected via DVI (2nd monitor should be the problem to fix mainmonitors problems)
after i plugged in the DP cable (was in the monitor package) the monitor stays black and says not connected
im using a "Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X BF4 Edition"

havent tried hdmi right now but i will soon

when im running DVI my monitor only runs 120HZ is that how it should be?
do i get 144HZ with HDMI? or does it only work with DP?

tried to reinstall drivers even the new crappy amd one (crimsonshit) and the last catalyst one

did change my power options to maximum and updated my monitor driver

anyways my monitor menu doesnt show display port or anything else
shouldnt be there an option "DiplayPort 1.2"?

ive read that i may have to flash my vbios? could this be THE solution?

I have no idea why you think the "crimsonshit" driver is bad. Crimson is much better than any version of Catalyst.

Make sure the monitor is set to the correct input.

sry its just my opinionabout crimson 😀 it looks unfinished and flat , but nvm crimson is not the fault here

yes i did, it stays black, and if i plug in dvi again it works, even if i plug in both (just to test it out) and select DP it swaps to dvi, its weird.

its because of the dual monitors. if u fiddle around in display it will work
