Question Display port not working!!! PLS HELP!!

HELPP!! I recently got a new moniter and i want to have dual monitors but i dont have intergrated graphics. So i was going to connect one monitor Thru display port on my gpu and the other Thru HDMI on my gpu. But when i try to connect display port to my gpu it dosent show no signal. but then i plug in only hdmi to my new moniter it works pls help!!!! so Hdmi works but not Display port and im using the diplay port cable that came with the new monitor. I have a 1660 super btw.
