Question Display Port to HDMI

Hi,

I am interested to know the following:

• Is there any noticeable quality difference (degradation ) when using DP to HDMI adapters/cables?
• Which is a better option: DP to HDMI adapters or DP to HDMI cables?
• Can you recommend reliable adapters/cables?

1. Depends on what version of both and what resolution.
2. Either work fine as both are digital connections.
3. DP to HDMI Cable Startech makes decent stuff.

Thanks for your response, Jimmy. Apparently, I just learned that DP to HDMI denotes DP as the source which unfortunately isn't the case for me. I need to hook my second monitor (with DP input) up to my PC that has an HDMI port. i.e I'll be outputting from my PC (HDMI) to monitor (DP). Is there such a thing as HDMI to DP with HDMI being the input source?

^That should work.

Also depending on what version of HDMI your system has it might not support higher than 1080P.
