My monitor blacked out for a few seconds and restarted in a different resolution. The usual resolution is no longer listed as an option. I have rebooted several times, uninstalled graphics card driver both in normal and safe mode and then rebooted. I have tried manually installing the GC driver, I have even reset Windows 10. The correct resolution is no longer listed as an option and i'm running on the "recommended" resolution 1024x768 which is far from ideal.

Any ideas? Thanks

I've this problem as it happened to me to, for anyone who needs to know how, it was simple. find "device manager" > display device (something like that it will say your gpu name) > right click it > "Install" > manual > something called see previous installs i think > click the one from 2015 or whatever one fixes your resolution. Worked for me after hours and hours of searching.
