display says 144hz but only getting 60hz?

ok so I just bought a 24inch acer predator xb241h with 144hz (180hz) and g sync, I have enable 144hz both on the monitor and on windows and the Nvidia control panel, the monitor is connected by a bizlink displayport to my gtx 770 card, however I'm not getting 144hz either on the desktop or I game, only 60hz, any solutions? I'm stuck, the NVidia driver is up to date

Have you checked the game setting to see if you can boost it upto 144hz!
