Hello
I have used this site before for help with my computer problems and it never failed, but now I cant find the answer, hope this thread helps
I have had my pc for 2 years now, it always worked fine. Its a Lenovo with an i3, 8 Gb ram, an GTX 970 (6 months old) and a beefy power supply (600w)
Last week the monitor of my pc connected via dvi and my tv connected via hdmi started to turn off every 10 minutes while watching a movie. The pc didnt shutted down, only both displays turned off and the sound of the movie continued, it didnt even stuttered. So im discarding a heat up of the system. I have cheked the energy plan and they are set to never turn of the display and never put the system in suspension, the screen protector (Bubbles) is set to 300 minutes.
But the weirdest thing is that if I play any game, yes, both displays goes off after exactly 10 minutes, I push Start on my controller (a xbox 360 controller) and the image come backs and after that, the problem never returns; the tv or the screen never goes of again unless I stop playing and 10 minutes before, they go off.
I have reinstalled drivers, chequed all conecctions of the pc, everything looks without issue so i guess is not a hardware problem.
I havent isntalled anything new, no new hardware, nothing out of the orndinary
I guess Windows somehow is not recognizing the energy plan
What can I do to resolve this issue?
Many thanks
