Question DisplayPort only works in the PCIE4 slot not PCIE1

Last week, I upgraded my monitor, and to use all its power, I started using the DisplayPort connection on my GPU. My motherboard, a Asrock Fatal1ty B360M Performance, has two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, but for some reason, I only get video from PCIe1 when I use the HDMI port. Both the DisplayPort and HDMI work just fine in the PCIe4 slot. Could there be any BIOS configuration causing this, or is it likely a hardware issue with my motherboard?

Usually all ports just work, there aren't any bios settings to prioritise which. Maybe perhaps changing pcie slot to peg/dedicated graphics instead of auto switching between dgpu/ igpu, that's about it. Since Hdmi works i doubt that's the issue.

What comes to mind maybe case is getting in the way of the Displayport port preventing cable from being fully connected?

Yup, the case was getting in the way of the DisplayPort. I thought that couldn't be it because the DP seemed secure, but when I removed the motherboard from the case, it worked just fine. Thanks, and sorry for taking up your time.

No problem whatsoever. Sometimes the cable ends are bulky or case makes it hard. Doesn't help when DP ports are top of the card as well.

Since board is out maybe another case might be an option? Or another DP cable but think they'd all be pretty similar in plug size. Maybe file or cut that area of the case back a bit.
