DisplayPort or HDMI to DVI-D 144hz RX480

Solution
Better off getting a monitor that can support 144Hz via Displayport or gpu with DVI D, the former i'd imagine. RMA the monitor and do the research next time on the inputs required to match your system.

There are active DP to DVI-D converters available but people who have bought these highly regarded brands such as Accell or Startech spending 100bucks or more for active converters are only getting 60Hz.

Solution
You need Dual-Link DVI to get 144 Hz at 1080p. DisplayPort and HDMI only support passive adapters to Single-Link DVI (even if they look like Dual-Link adapters or advertise it, they are lying).

To get 144 Hz through DVI you need either a native Dual-Link DVI port or a $100 DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI conversion device (not a passive adapter).
