Hello! I bought a new PC recently. I am wanting to run two screens (one TV and one monitor), but, there is only one HDMI port on this computer. However, there is also a DisplayPort output, so I purchased a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter from BestBuy. I have tried all the solutions I could find, including double checking that all HDMI ports and cables are functional, updating drivers (I use a software called IObit Driver Booster to do so, as well as did manual update checks through Windows), and changing the refresh rate. I have listed all my components in great detail below!

Please help me, I am very frustrated!

I have a similar problem which is what leads me here.

Graphics card is Gigabyte GTX 980Ti with 3 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI, 2 DVI connections
TV is a VOXSON
Adaptor is no brand, made in China.

Now, I had 3 monitors working on 2 DVI and 1 DisplayPort and the TV on HDMI
The Dell monitor, DisplayPort, kept going off so replaced with BENQ, it has HDMI
So take the HDMI from TV = 3 monitors working by 2 DVI, 1 HDMI
Now, want the TV connected so get DisplayPort adaptor to HDMI

Not getting any sign of signal there, checked the source, yes
I plugged into the center of 3 HDMI so that be number 2 right?

On a side note, when you go to the Menu on TV it says HDMI 1, 2, 3 so why don't they mark these at the cable input as well? Just stupid if you ask me

Anyway, any comments, suggestions welcomed, thanks

Might try DisplayPort adaptor to HDMI on the new BENQ monitor...

Hallelujah!

So, I went to try the new monitor to the adaptor, but at the same time as I had unplugged it...

I thought I'll plug into the DisplayPort near the HDMI on the Graphics card and the monitor worked

So, swapped the HDMI cords, and the TV works too

If you're still confused, 2 monitors on DVI, 1 monitor on HDMI cable direct

and the TV on DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor and HDMI cable

Now I have that TV for Youtube videos and 3 monitor to work on, awesome!!
