Displayport to hdmi converter or hdmi ??

okay guys i bought new graphic card rx 470 it has 3 displayport and 1 hdmi i have connected hdmi to my tv and i need to connect it to my monitor too and the problem is my monitor has only hdmi, vga, dvi so should i buy a displayport to hdmi converter or displayport to hdmi cable both are option here which is best ?? or do i need to buy branded one or local can also work fine tell me guys thanks in advance m gonna duplicate screen on tv aswell as on monitor

Single point of failure is the best, so just get a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. If you need it today, then just get the cheapest you can find. Otherwise, head out to Monoprice.com and look for a cable.

Get a DP-HDMI adapter + HDMI cable. Getting a single DP-HDMI cable limits its uses. Once you upgrade your monitors to ones with DP, you can use the original HDMI cable for something else: console to TV, A/V receiver to device, etc.
Or if you think DP will become more prominent, get a full DP cable and a female DP to male HDMI adapter.

first of all thank you to both of u replied, i have option like this one http://www.ebay.in/itm/152310308887?aff_source=Sok-Goog and http://www.ebay.in/itm/171672715027?aff_source=Sok-Goog this one both gonna cost me same like hdmi to dp port cable or dp port adapter + hdmi cable so here a ques come will i loss some quality by buying cheaper one ?? if not m gonna buy the cheapest one let me know guys

If you already have an available HDMI cable, the just get the adapter. If you need to buy an HDMI cable, then skip it and get the DisplayPort to HDMI cable instead.
