I just got an RX 470 and since I only have an old VGA monitor I decided to get a Displayport to VGA adapter. This is what I ended up with, I'm pretty sure it's an active adapter so it should work:

However, after hooking everything up and turning the pc on I'm not getting an output on my display, despite the pc seeming to boot up normally. Any ideas?

Did you found any solution?
tomorrow i will be tryng that adapter on my monitor(vga) to gtx1060(displayport, dvi-d, hdmi)

Same problem for me. It's an old monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 920Nx), connecting to EVGA Geforce GTX 1060.

Not sure if I have the wrong adapter or what? It says "Displayport -> SVGA Adapter" "DP 20-pin Male ---> SVGA HD 15-pin Female". When I plug it in the monitor just stay black and very slightly flickers occasionally.

It works for me. Displayport to VGA adapter
