What's the best distance between the gaming wireless mouse and the mouse receiver when gaming? Does it matter?

assuming Bluetooth class 2 it is about 30ft mind you if your receiver is at the back of the computer you will get lag compared, if it was in line of sight (i.e. on a front USB port on your computer) because of the box blocking signal.

You do not give the model of your mouse? Does it use a dongle, or does it use the Bluetooth build into your laptop or desktop? A clear path for the signal is best, as this will cause minimal re-transmission of packets that are not received properly.
