Question Distorted sound after system reset.

I had to do a system reset today after having some problems with my PC freezing. Those problems were fixed but instead I had no sound in my headphones. I did some research and checked for the latest drivers which were already installed. Then I uninstalled one of the Realtek audio rivers and then the sound came back but it's distorted/muffled. When I listen to music I can hear some of the sound fine but the voices and most parts of the songs are distorted. How do I fix this?

What version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you working with? BIOS version for your motherboard? For the sake of relevance, where did you source the installer for the OS and what is the make and model of your motherboard?

Windows 10 Version: 21H1
BIOS Version: AMI F.10, 2017-11-08
PC is a prebuilt HP Omen desktop so the OS was already there.
Motherboard: HP 8437

Tried two other sets of headphones and they both worked fine so I'm going to guess the problem is with the headphones. Though I don't know how or when they were damaged since they worked fine shortly before the reset.
