Hi everyone!

I've built my first gaming pc almost 8 years ago and I really need to know if I'm doing it right this time around. (am I missing any parts??)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LG6nTM

Approximate Purchase Date: the closer the better

Budget Range: around 3000 $

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, Photoshop, watching YouTube/Netflix/movies

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: everything, I'm starting anew

Do you need to buy OS: Yes (Win10 vs Win11?)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: whatever I can find here in Japan (Amazon?)

Location: Japan

Parts Preferences: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LG6nTM

Overclocking: Maybe (necessary?)

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (necessary?)

Your Monitor: they didn't have the one i want in the list, but the price is similar...I was thinking of a Dell S2722DGM 27in, 2560x1440 and 165Hz refresh rate.

Additional Comments: Playing mostly open world RPGs, MMOs and occasionally FPS games.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: my 7 years old Asus ROG laptop with a 980M has served me well, after replacing the thermal paste and reviving it for three more years, it's finally time to let it rest.

I'd like to know if there's a way to go cheaper without affecting the overall performance too much...

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Looks good to me. I would change the storage option to have a smaller capacity SSD, preferably a 500GB drive which would be for the OS, app's and launchers and the other SSD to be a larger capacity will be the game library. The EVGA unit is going to be recycled from your older build? If so, is that unit 8 years old?

Please stylize your therad with info asked of in this thread;
and we can fine tune the build, as we see fit.

Moved thread from Prebuilt & Enterprise section to Systems section

Thanks for the input, I've edited the post, looks much better now!
Great point about the external storage, probably gonna do just what you said.

And no, every part is new, nothing to recycle from my old laptop really.

Any suggestions about the missing parts?

Unfortunately, PCPartPicker doesn't have the option for Japan in it's drop down menu. We're a site based in the USA, can you pass on links to site you're able to purchase off of or are we to use Amazon exclusively?
Uh oh... just got recommended the website for checking parts compatibilities, first time using it...

Well, I live in a rural area so online shopping is my only choice.

Apart from Amazon.jp, there's this website
which includes results from other popular Japanese sites, but it seem to be only in Japanese.

It's getting late here, but if I find other websites, I'll edit the post again.

So, just an update, I've edited the first post with a new list, after making sure everything is available here in Japan....now, the problem is that the prices here are pretty high for pc parts.
If you have any suggestions on how to tweak this build a little bit to reduce the final cost (now around 3500$)
without affecting performance too much, i'd greatly appreciate it!

P.S.: everything from the list is currently available on Amazon.jp
