I've been using DIR-600 wireless router since an year. But, after having a factory reset i'm having a strange issue. When i'm configuring the router in the Dlink page(192.168.0.1 now i changed it to 192.168.1.100).. In that i go to Manual Internet Configuration>> then i select Static IP(Since i've been provided a static IP,gateway, DNS settings by my ISP) As soon as enter IP: 192.168.1.2,, and Subnet : 255.255.255.0,,,Gateway : 192.168.1.1 and enter DNS details and press SAVE.. I get a message " Invalid IP Address".. I've set the Router IP as 192.168.1.100 and DHCP range : 3 to 199

I don't know why is this happening.. It wasn't there before.. Please provide me the solution to this problem as i'm not able to connect to internet now from the router...

Solution
I've fixed the problem.. i did a hard reset and kept the Router IP :192.168.0.1 and set the ISP settings in the Dlink Internet Configuration page.. Working Fine now
If you have been given a static IP by your ISP then this will need to be entered.

You will have pages on the router setup for Internet, Wireless and Network. You put the information provided by your ISP in the page that comes up after clicking the Internet Button in setup, putting 192.168.etc in here will give you invalid error.

You put in the 192.168.etc.etc stuff you mention above in the Network page.

And any Wireless names and security in the Wireless Page

If the only IP address you have is 192.168.etc.etc then go to the internet page of the router and setup using the wizard. Allow it to use a dynamic IP and complete it. Then go to your Network Page and set the Static stuff there.

In essence your router has two IP addresses it can have:

Internal Static and External Dynamic (most common)
External Static and Internal Static

The internal IP is the one your computers see and talk to the router using. The External one set or provided by the ISP is the one the world talks to your router using. It is the job or the router to receive information from the web and channel it to the correct internal IP address (computer) that made the request (loaded a web page etc)

But i have been provided static settings by my ISP like IP, Subnet madk , gateway , dns.. All these settings need to be entered if have to use internet.. But i can't save these in the Dlink internet settings due to the "Invalid IP address" error
