DNS not changing?

Hi all a question if I may?.

I’ve been reading about DNS leaks especially using your own isp dns so I discovered dns.watch as they state no logs.

In my ASUS router under WAN SETTINGS if dns automatic is ticked and do a leak test the results are NTT Europe Limited and not my isp Virgin Media

When dns is set to manual and use dns.watch (84.200.69.80/84.200.70.40) The results are still NTT Europe Limited, I have tried restarting both device and router but the results are still the same. Ok great it’s not showing my isp’s dns but why not dns.watch settings?
One thing I have noticed is if I connect my phone to my home network using a custom OpenVPN the dns results are dns.watch or virgin media so it seems when ever I’m on my network it shows as NTT Europe.

Solution
Us the nslookup command and manually key in a couple of different DNS servers on the command line. It will display the name of the server resolving.

You can also use the debug option to see more information. If it was all you devices I would say the ISP was redirecting all dns to their dns server but if it is just one machine then there maybe something configured wrong or some other software on your machine intercepting.
