Do all SSD's weigh close to nothing?

I have a SSD in my laptop, but I purchased it already built and haven't physically removed it for any reason. I'm building a desktop now and purchased another SSD for it which I just received in the mail. (Samsung V-NAND SSD 850 EVO 500GB was $130 and I sort of regret it)

It's close to weightless. I just want to make sure that's normal, because I feel like it's an empty black case. I still haven't decided on a few other components, so I'm not sure when my build will be complete and I don't want it to be too late to return it once I actually plug it in and realize its a box of air.

Yeap. The SSD itself should weigh a few to a 100 grams.

They have become much lighter over the years. Triple-layer NAND and 3D NAND as well make the packages smaller and smaller. Most of the space inside the plastic case is, in fact, empty these days; they're just built around it for the form factor.

  mSata model weight is 8.3g,
  M.2 model weight is 7.0g.

BTW - you can get Samsung 850 Evo 256GB in microSD form factor. It weights 0.5g.
