Do game boosters really work?

Hello guys,
I read about game boosters like Razer cortex booster,IOBit Game Booster, Raptr game booster etc. Do they work and do they have any real benefits for gaming pc ?

At best, they do nothing that you can't do yourself, but suck up resources on their own when doing it.
Along with the included adware....

At worst, they change something that they should not.

Just don't.

Haven't found one that's worth the money, even if it was free.
If your system is short on resources, optimize memory and don't run anything else at same time. Cut down on autostart programs, they can take big chunk of RAM and CPU cycles. Ready made, brand name computers are full of junk programs.
