Do I have to install MOBO drivers?

This is my first build and IT LIVES! Now I'm trying to get everything in order and working smoothly. I've looked through the threads about MOBOs and I'm a little confused about installing drivers. I have a Gigabyte H170 Gaming 3 (Rev 1.0). Everything is in working order and as soon as it was up and running, my machine downloaded and installed updates. I've seen on some posts that windows will update drivers. Does this include the MOBO? Finally, do I need to install all drivers from Gigabyte's site?

On a side note... I'm currently running with a 240GB SSD (we have a 2TB drive on the way). I've noticed that the HD LED isn't flashing at all. Should I check the connections or is something else going on? Could it be driver related?

Any and all help is appreciated?

Hello... LED's have polarity to them... if it's on all the time then switch the + and - connections on the MB, for the HD LED.

install the chipset Intel INF file first... use your Device manger to show you hardware that needs drivers red&yellow marked... Typically all MB hardware drivers are needed... Windows can change them later if it needs/wants to.

Are you using the CPU IGT currently to your monitor? then install the VGA driver... for a better Display view and speed while doing all the installs.

The LED doesn't come on at all. It's completely dark.

The monitor is connected to the video card and it worked right away bit I installed the driver for exactly the reason that you stated.

Thanks for the advice. I'll install the INF file first before the others.

I installed all the drivers and everything went smoothly except for 1. "Intel Management Engine Interface". I had quit all software and disabled my antivirus (Avast). Installation was stopped due to a fatal error. Everything seems to be working fine otherwise. Should I be concerned?
