Do I have to update my bios to install a new cpu?

I currently have an i3-4130 installed on my hp desktop computer, and I want to upgrade it to a
i5-4670.

I checked my system information, and it says that my BIOS version is AMI 80.19, and the date is 7/18/14. My SMBIOS version is 2.7.

Do I need to update my BIOS to install the i5-4670.(non k)

But when I try to update my bios, it says that the bios update is not compatible with this device.
I downloaded the update from the hp website

You should be able to upgrade without issue. I do recommend a Core i7 4770 though. They are very cheap on ebay and compatibility is guaranteed.
